Cats

In 1994 we started with a breeding program of our favorite cats, the Maine Coons and Birmans
under our registered cattery name "Catweazle".

It began like most of the stories with a first visit at a local cat show.
There we felt in love with the Maine Coons after discovering a grown up redtabby male
(Honeycoon's Ferrari - US Import) lying in a showcage. We were extremely impressed by
this powerpack <g> and thought we got to get one just like this! Thats how it all started ;-)

After 4 weeks with our new familiy member a black silver torbie Maine Coon girl
Sundancer's Texas Tequila (Tiffy for short), we decided to get her a playmate -
since our two old domestic shorthairs didn't bother playing with her and ignoring her most of the time.

That's how we got our first blue point Birman which was named Nora vom Hinkelstein.
They got friends and from that day on they ruled the house and shared the good and bad
times including the cat shows and vet visits with each other.

Both breeds are very special and we won't miss one of them anymore!
They cheer us up and we could watch them day and night playing or just socializing with each other!
We are happy to be with them and they still allow us to get some space in our own bed <g>.

Raising and Caring:

Our kittens are raised underfood with premium food (wet and dry), vitamins, calcium
and lots of love and attention. After 6 weeks of age we release them from their babyroom
to run the house and killing everyones else's nerves <grin>.
It's not just tough for the older cats - it's tough for us and our visitors too.
Everybody is misused as a playmate or scratching post from them. They require entertainment
and attention all the time. They hardly seem to need no sleep at all - but luckily just hardly ;-)

Before they leave for their new homes they are getting desexed, fully vaccinated against
Feline infectious enteritis, Feline viral rhinotracheitis/calicivirus and are dewormed by
every second week. Show-Kittens do receive a rabies shot as well before leaving home.
All kittens are blood testet and receive a written health guarantee from our vet
before we are delivering all kittens personally to their new homes
to check the environment the cat is going to live in.

A few more remarks:

If one of our kittens is especially sold for breeding purposes (to small catteries only!),
it is forbidden to cage or keep it separatet from family and/or other cats!

It is striktly forbidden to declaw any of our cats or kittens under no circumstances!

These were some important contents of my contracts.
